It may be gifted with Amazon Alexa as part of tis standard list of offerings, but when it comes to safety, it does not offer lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring in its list of standard driver aids.

Performance

The Ford Explorer scores 21 mpg and 28 mpg for city and highway driving, respectively. It is capable of handling 300 horsepower of acceleration. This is better than the result for the 4Runner's 16 mpg and 19 mpg for city and highway driving, and the output of 270 horsepower.

Both rides provide you a lot of room in terms of cargo area, but when considering all aspects, you will notice how the 2022 Ford Explorer easily topples down its opponent.
