There are two robust engine choices for the 2023 Ford Explorer. That feature alone gives you a better idea of what to expect in this midsize SUV. If you have a large family, you can fit them in this vehicle comfortably too. There is much space in the cargo area as well.

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder has enough space for your passengers as well. It also boasts of a great-looking interior and a long list of standard technologies. Its various trims have shuffled most of its features.

Design & Style

The 2023 Ford Explorer has been engineered to give you a comfortable ride, whether you choose the seven-seat setup with a second-row bench or a six-seat configuration with captain's chairs. It also integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features basically included in the standard setup for the SUV are the same as the ones found in the Explorer. The difference between these two is that you need some time getting familiar with these driver aids in the Nissan.

Performance

The Ford Explorer comes fitted with a base engine whose capacity reaches up to 300 horsepower when you step on the brakes. There is another engine in other trims that allow you to generate results of up to 400 horsepower. In the case of the Pathfinder, the base gives off 284 horsepower, with an engine that oozes up to 295 horsepower. These numbers are much less impressive than the Explorer's stats.

The Bottom Line

The 2023 Ford Explorer combines practicality and space inside it. Under its hood, you get to choose any from the two engine options that it offers. All these considered, it is a better midsize SUV than the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder.
